We are delighted to share with you our second edition of Groundswell – back with a fresh look chronicling the Making of 2025 – coined lovingly by our editor Dan De Nardis as the “year of light”. We took on many incredible projects in 2025, with cutting-edge lighting design making up a healthy number of them.
This issue sees introductions from the editor and r.a.g.e Director Ruth Allen, a deep dive on the projects that crossed our path, and everything in between. From achievements within the r.a.g.e ecosystem to collaborations with artists, designers and architects whose projects featured in Wallpaper, Vogue Living and the Design Files, 2025 was our biggest year yet – and 2026 will only see us go bigger.

Welcome to the very first edition of Groundswell, our new annual magazine for r.a.g.e.
It is our pleasure to bring you this new publication, for enthusiasts of the studio and advocates of all things contemporary glass.
r.a.g.e would not be where it is today without the generous and dedicated support of our community, and as our studio evolves and transforms over the course of our first year of expansion, we want to keep you updated and involved every step of the way. Groundswell is part of our mission to deepen our connection with the avid arts community — the first unveiling of new offerings we have planned for 2025 and beyond.
A new edition of Groundswell will be added to the r.a.g.e website annually, with mailing list members receiving their copy emailed directly. Groundswell will detail new changes to the studio, upcoming and past events, new workshops and classes, shiny new additions to our shop, and glimpses into the lives of our hard-working trainee glass artisans. It’s your one-stop hub for all things r.a.g.e.
