Möbius Lens

The Möbius is a mathematical phenomenon of twisted infinity. My artwork, ‘Möbius Lens,’ is meticulously hot sculpted to create an endless loop of glass. When enhanced by light the translucent form is unveiled to reveal its non-orientable dimensions.

Though the loop is timeless, light is bent to its will, slowed by the change in material density to project muscular striations, voluminous and changing. Immersed in the intricacies of light, I interpret the making process as a narrative — from material gathering, to stretch and twist. This x-ray of form holds conceptual intrigue, physical expansion and the push and pull of time.
