Victoria’s first purpose-built, independent, community glass facility.
Built by artists, for artists.
As universities shut down glass programs and federal arts funding continues to fall short, r.a.g.e is stepping up — creating sustainable and independent infrastructure, safeguarding our endangered craft, and securing the future of glass artistry in Australia.
We’re building Victoria’s first purpose-built, independent, community glass art facility. Built by artists, for artists.
Our proposed expansion to the adjacent property will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including a hot glass furnace, kilns and an industry level workshop configuration. It will provide hands-on education for both emerging and established artists, with workshops for all skill levels and an intensive traineeship program for dedicated artisans. A retail gallery and professional exhibition space will showcase international-standard artworks. Powered by solar energy and incorporating sustainable practices and infrastructure, r.a.g.e will enrich Australia’s cultural landscape and secure the future of glass artistry for generations to come.
With plans to open in late 2026, we need generous financial support from visionary philanthropists and our dedicated arts community to bring r.a.g.e to life. Support us as we instigate cultural change, and make a tax-deductible donation today through the Australian Cultural Fund.
“On behalf of JamFactory, and as an institution passionate about promoting the social, cultural and economic value of creativity and design, we recognise the critical importance of initiatives that foster artistic growth and innovation.
The Glass Epicentre represents a significant step forward in the evolution of glass art in Australia. Ruth’s decision to expand her business to encompass mentorship and education is both timely and necessary, given the increasing demand for advanced training opportunities in the field.”
““Ruth Allen | Glass Epicentre is an excellent initiative that we are excited to see evolve and a prime example of how the arts can be used to inspire, educate, and inject a municipality with a rich, diverse culture as well as bring economic growth to the area.””
