Transformative Repair, Useful Objects 2026

As a longtime hoarder, hard rubbish collector and upcycler, this exhibition is especially close to Edward Lincare’s heart.

Transformative Repair, an exhibition series, investigates how artists, designers and craftspeople can creatively repair damaged objects to reduce consumption, while restoring value and meaning to our relationships with the things we own.

Linacre and Danielle Brustman created this collection for the third and final iteration of the program. They took the “transformation” brief quite literally, copper plating the donated Hans Coray chairs (1939) and using them as moulds for glass blowing at rage. The intention was to extend the life of the iconic Hans Coray perforations, translating them into a feature pattern across blown glass lighting and serving platters.
